The Mill A School District provides elementary and secondary public education to the rural communities of Mill A, Cook, and Willard, Washington. The district administers two schools, Mill A (K-8) and Pacific Crest Innovation Academy (9-12). The Mill A school board is made up of five volunteers, elected by district residents. The board works with the community to improve student achievement and is responsible for employing the superintendent; developing and adopting policies, curriculum, and the budget; overseeing facilities issues; and adopting collective bargaining agreements with district employees.
