2024 Presidential Election Special Assignment

NOTE: This assignment is only open to Chicago Documenters who attended the August 12 or August 13 training.

Chicago Documenters is conducting at least 25 interviews on the upcoming presidential election in November 2024. Your assignment is to complete one question form per interview and take a photo and or video of your interview subject.

Guidelines: We anticipate the interview will take about one hour. You will record the audio and submit an interview form. The form includes basic survey questions as well as long-response questions. The entire assignment should take a total of four (4) hours. Documenters will be paid a flat rate of $100 per interview.

You may conduct up to two interviews. Chicago Documenters is looking for interviews that reflect the diversity of the city — so we ask that you consider and prioritize marginalized and diverse voices as it relates to race, age, gender or socioeconomic class.

All Documenters who plan to complete interviews must attend this special assignment training (in-person or virtual). All assignments must be completed and submitted via form by the end of day (11:59 p.m.) September 2nd.
