• Approved (9-4) an amendment to the Minneapolis 2040 plan to downzone two blocks of Van Buren St NE from Corridor 6 to Interior 3. The Planning Commission had forwarded the item without a recommendation following lengthy debate at its Dec. 5 meeting.
• Approved (7-6) several appointments to the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, including former MPD chief Medaria Arradondo.
• Approved (9-4) a contract increase with Michels Corporation relating to cleaning and lining cast iron water mains.
• Postponed a vote to replace Michael Rainville with Emily Koski as City Council representative on the Planning Commission
• Council members Wonsley, Chavez, and Osman gave notice of intent to introduce an ordinance regarding worker protections for transportation ride share workers.
