Detroit Promise Zone Authority Board Meeting - IN-PERSON ONLY

Enabling Legislation: Public Act 549 of 2008. Michigan Promise Zone Authority Act. Governor Granholm designated 10 promise zones in the State of Michigan in 2009, which were established to expand opportunities for students to attend college and help transform Michigan communities in the process.

► The City of Detroit applied and received a Michigan Promise Zone designation in 2009

► Promise Zone Authority Board of Directors appointed and confirmed 2015

► State of Michigan approved Detroit Promise Zone Development Plan in 2016
