Hennepin County Board and Regional Railroad Authority

The Hennepin County Board approved 16 items through their consent agenda including:

• Advancing recommendations to increase partnerships with the American Indian community through land and water acknowledgements, establishing a tribal flag lending library and collaborating on ways the county can best support indigenous residents.
• Supporting the Light Rail Train Blue Line Extension route modification which has the train going through North Minneapolis along West Broadway Avenue.

The Board also appointed four new department directors:

• Joshua Hoogland as Hennepin County Assessor.
• Regina Wagner as the Director of Economic Supports, Child Support Services and Well being for Human Services.
• Daniel Soler as Director of Transit and Mobility.
• Lisa Bayley as the Director for Safe Communities initiatives.

Note: The Housing & Redevelopment Authority and the Regional Railroad Authority are both comprised of the Hennepin County Board members, but each are considered separate entities.
