Approved ordinance amendments that would slightly increase the city’s gas and electric franchise fees to fund the city’s Climate Legacy Initiative, which is a long-term plan to reduce the city’s carbon emissions.
- Most households and businesses would see an annual increase of about $12 on their bills, the city says. The city would receive about $10 million annually.
- The Climate Legacy Initiative includes support for weatherizing homes, installing solar panels, planting trees, electric vehicle charging stations and reducing local waste.

- Special Service Districts are: 48th & Chicago, Central Avenue, Dinkytown, Eat Street, Linden Hills, Lowry Hill, Stadium Village and Uptown.
