Ward 9 meeting
Akron City Council
Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026
6:30 p.m. — 8:00 p.m. EST
Kenmore Community Center, 880 Kenmore Blvd., Akron, OH 44314 (Directions)
Council Member Tina Boyes hosts Ward 9 meetings on the first Tuesday of the month.
From the City of Akron website: “Ward 9 is wholly comprised of Akron’s Kenmore neighborhood, a booming business district that’s home to some of the City’s freshest and hottest spots. Kenmore is known throughout the region for its local music scene as well as hosting festivals and events throughout the year to celebrate up-and-coming artists in and around Akron. You’re also never far from a recording studio, or a music shop like Lay’s Guitar Shop or JuJu Bonz Records. It’s easy to find a place to eat or drink along the historic Kenmore Boulevard strip, with new cafes and eateries opening all the time. Whether it’s Sri Lankan tea from SRINA Tea House, authentic Brooklyn-style pizza from Pierre’s, or some classic deli meat at Showcase Meats, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
