More attendees are continuing to trickle in steadily throughout the meeting. I would say 10 people have arrived since the meeting began. The crowd is silent and attentive.

Chancellor Massey is opening the floor for public comments. He is noting that it is not appropriate to make comments or allegations of a personal nature about specific faculty members at this time.

The president of student government at @DaleyCollege is speaking. He’s noting the lack of gender neutral bathrooms on campus. He’s also urging people to vote with federal funding for public education in mind.

Moving on to financial updates. More discussion of the decline in tuition revenues. All colleges have had a decline in tuition revenues since 2016, with the exception of Malcom X College. Spending, however, has not decreased.

The faculty council chair, Professor Jennifer Alexander, is now speaking. She’s noting relief at the change in time of this meeting from morning to afternoon. It seems this was a popular choice here.

A trustee is pausing the proceedings to read a note from a former student at City Colleges. The student is now in nursing school and is praising and thanking faculty at the school in the note. Applause.
