The Alpine plan area covers 108 square miles situated in the foothills of the Cuyamaca Mountains. The plan also encompasses the Viejas Indian Reservation and small settlements in Peutz Valley, Japatul Valley, Hidden Glen, Dunbar Lane, and Galloway Valley.
