Board of Trustees
Cleveland Public LibraryCleveland Public Library is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees. Members are appointed for seven-year terms by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District Board of Education.
Note: This is a new agency for us to cover as a community. Lead with your curiosity and feel free to note if something is confusing. If you’re asked who you are/why you’re attending, you can say something like:
“I am a Documenter trained to monitor public meetings in the public interest. My work is made publicly available in collaboration with Signal Cleveland’s Cleveland Documenters program. For more information visit cleveland.documenters.org/.”

Cleveland Public Library
The Cleveland Public Library is made up of 30 branches and the Main Library campus. Located in downtown Cleveland the main branch consists of the historic library building, built in 1925, and renovated in 1999; the Louis Stokes Wing completed in 1997; and the Eastman Reading Garden located between the two buildings. Cleveland Public Library is the third largest public research library in the country, according to their website.
