Sometimes Documenters need to interview public commenters or public officials. Join Outlier Media’s founder and editor-in-chief, Sarah Alvarez to learn tips and techniques for interviewing the public, including how to set up the interview, and how to write up the interview when it ends. This skills training will prepare Documenters for interview special assignments, as well as a paid option to the in-person only audio recording assignments.
All Documenters are welcome to learn with us. After the workshop, complete a quiz to earn your digital interview badge. Documenters must have an interview badge and complete at least 1 public meetings assignment to be eligible for upcoming interview assignments.
This virtual training will be recorded. A Zoom link will be provided to registrants on the day of the workshop.
