This one-hour training will introduce you to local government meetings in Cleveland and how to document them, for the public good.
You’ll learn the basics of notetaking and open meeting law—and how they can be used to document local public government agencies and hold elected officials accountable.
Upon completion of this community-building workshop and a brief quiz, a digital badge will be added to your Documenters.org profile.
While this training isn’t required to apply for notetaking assignments, we strongly recommend it.
It’s all happening Saturday, April 20th from 2-3pm at the Cleveland Public Library - Rice Branch (11535 Shaker Blvd). Register to receive access details.
NOTE: If you are new to Cleveland Documenters, be sure to register for the Cleveland Documenters Orientation before this training at 12:30pm. Attending an orientation is a requirement for working as a Cleveland Documenter. Register for orientation HERE.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
