This is a special meeting of City Council that has been called for consideration of the Bring Chicago Home ordinance (SR2021-919). The revised proposal would put a put a referendum question on the February 2023 ballot that asks voters if the Real Estate Transfer Tax on transactions over $1 million should be increased to create a dedicated revenue stream for homelessness services and affordable housing.
